Reflexology Education

What is Reflexology Series:

Reflexology has been used for centuries to heal and bring balance to the mind, and soul body using the feet, hands, and ears as an entry point to the whole body system. The Feet, hands, and ears are replicas of the body for example the spines location in the foot is the edge of the inside arch of the feet. How a practitioner would work your spine is by pressing the thumb against every inch of the inside arch and the the bottom heal for the lower spine and back.

The results of working this area may be relief from back pain and stress that is held in the lower back may be relieved. The Practitioner would use the pressure of their thumbs and other fingers to put pressure on each zone of the foot in reflection to connected body systems to release energy that isn’t moving, or that is hyper active, bringing a physical change in the nervous system and circulatory system. The results are an overall emotional sense of well-being.

What is Reflexology? Series Article 2: Why do you need Reflexology?

Meaning of Reflexology. Lets break down the word. We know ology – the knowledge of, the study off, the science of a branch of knowledge. Ok. Got it. What about the Reflex part? That’s confusing. What does it have to do with the feet? So, reflex is an action that is performed as a response to a stimulus and without conscious thought.  Definition number two under the same word. Reflex – a thing that is determined by and reproduces the essential features or qualities of something else. So we have the feet that are a reflection of the body and a reflexologist is someone who performs an action that causes an involuntary response because they are stimulating the energy to flow through your body. Do we get it? Yes. No. Maybe. Ok, we will keep working on it. It’s an experience, so, if you would really like to know, hit me up for a session. I got you.

I get asked a lot, what is Reflexology? So I decided to do a series explaining why we all could use reflexology. The direct answer in my mind is that we all need something to unwind our energy. We need to relax. We need to relieve stress. Most of all we need a clear circulatory flow of energy in order to feel a sense of well-being as a person. Meaning also a more balanced healthy and wholesome perspective. There are numerous ways to get a natural energy unclogging. There is reflexology, acupuncture, meditation, reiki, chakra clearing, sound healing, you can use whatever method makes you feel comfortable.

Its easy to say, but, everything is connected. Your life force energy flow  is connected to your emotional charge, your emotional charge is connected to the sinews of your muscles, your muscles are connected to your bones. Let me not forget your spine, your glands, your and finally your thoughts. Whether you realize it or not in Western society we have taught ourselves unwholesome ways to relax to may not be good for our system. We smoke too much, drink too much, take un-natural multi-vitamins, masturbate too much, watch too much tv, eat too much . . . all in the hopes that we will get some relief. Well, reflexology is the ultimate way to have this relief happen. Reflexology activates your already ready to help healing intelligence inside of your body. Have you noticed that your body wants to be healthy. That is why you get signals first before a dis-ease appears. You get a warning from an ache or pain, you get a warning from headache, you get a warning in your dreams, you get a signal from pee discoloration. Nature sends you warnings all day everyday until it becomes a chronic condition. When there is chronic disease there is chronic energy constriction. Energy needs to flow and expand. A little constriction is not abnormal. That’s why we use reflexology  as a preventative aid to keep our immune systems boosted.

Everyone has their own reasons as why they would need reflexology in their life. I have not traveled overseas yet, but, many that have been attracted to my practice of reflexology have told me in places like Thailand there is reflexologist on every corner like we have starbucks over here. Hmmmmmm. Makes me wonder.

This is my personal testimony. I need reflexology because it helps me self-soothe. I lived in a harsh emotional environment as a child and I didn’t have the inner resources that would help me relieve stress. I do reflexology on myself either on my hands and feet and relieves the emotional tension I hold in back and it helps me sleep, relax, it takes the edge off when I’m feeling too stressed out.

Again, everyone is different. I had a woman come up to me and tell me Reflexology helped release the toxins of chemotherapy out her system. I had a woman who when I was doing her feet I could feel that something was going on with her diaphragm and she expressed to me that she had cancer. I have had people come up to me after a session and tell me that they now have more energy. I have had people tell me that it improved their circulation. Because everyone is different it will effect everyone differently. We are assisting your already intelligently self-healing body in bringing into balance anything in your body that may be hyper-active or hypo-active.
